Our contemporary style chawan (matcha bowl) is meticulously designed by matcha & glass connoisseurs for a contemporary perspective on brewing Japanese matcha. Our glass chawan has been specially designed and commissioned as part of a broader collaboration to create a modern take on an age-old centerpiece of the tea ceremony. Each chawan is delicately handblown by renowned glassblowers and finished with a functional spout for pouring your matcha into creative drinks. The inner bowl is designed with a thoughtful circumference to enable easy whisking with a chasen (matcha whisk), leading to a perfect microfoam and smooth finish. The bowl is made with heat-resistant borosilicate glass, which can retain heat more effectively while allowing the contents of the bowl to levitate over traditional tableware. A perfect addition to a contemporary matcha set.

Heat-resistant borosilicate glass. Double-walled. Natural variations can occur due to the handmade nature of the product. 

Care Instructions

After each use, gently hand wash with soap & warm water, then allow to air dry. Dishwasher & microwave are not recommended, but may be used with the right level of care.

We provide free standard shipping on all US orders. Shipping is coordinated by USPS - First Class with tracking and generally takes 2-4 business days. International shipping is available for an additional fee and may take 5-15 business days.
